I am glad that someone thought enough of J.S. Haldane to write this book celebrating his work. I enjoyed learning about this man whose name keeps popping up. The book would have been easier to follow and more enjoyable if quotations were not used so extensively and if it was less parenthetical. There was a clear sense in reading it that the writer was from a different era and had to do research work to come up with the information. Some writers are able to disguise the difficulty of writing to the point that you can truly lose yourself in a book, but this one shows a bit of laboriousness.
