Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner - Dean Karnazes This is an amazing book in the sense of showing abilities way outside of expected human physical limits, and being written in the first person makes it more real than it would be otherwise. However, to me, the point of the running and other extreme sports the author engages in was not clear, even though Karnazes tries to address it throughout his book. As said in the book, the point may not be accessible for those who don’t share the passion. For some reason, people right here in town who can do several hours of mountain trail running or perhaps a 100 mile run are more inspiring to me than Karnazes with his more extreme feats.
